National Chengchi University Philosophical Journal: Articles of Organization for the Editorial Committee

Article 1

The Department of Philosophy at National Chengchi University (hereinafter referred to as “the Department”) forms the “National Chengchi University Philosophical Journal Editorial Committee” (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”) to edit and publish National Chengchi University Philosophical Journal (hereinafter referred to as “the Journal”).

 

Article 2

The Committee shall include one editor-in-chief, elected from the Department’s full-time faculty members in a departmental meeting. An editor-in-chief shall serve for a term of two years and may serve at most two consecutive terms if re-elected.

 

Article 3

The Committee shall have seven members, including the editor-in-chief as an ex officio member, one other member elected from the Department’s full-time faculty in a departmental meeting, and five external scholars. The members shall serve for a term of two years and may serve at most two consecutive terms if re-elected.

 

Article 4

To improve the quality of the Journal, the Committee shall invite domestically or internationally renowned scholars as editorial advisors to provide suggestions on the Journal’s editorial work and on the direction of further development.

 

Article 5

The Committee shall meet at least once before the publication of each issue of the Journal. The editor-in-chief shall convene additional meetings if necessary.

 

Article 6

The responsibilities of the Committee are as follows:

(1) To determine the editorial procedure, the style manual, and the call for papers of the Journal;

(2) To ensure the quality of the review process and that of the accepted papers;

(3) To decide and implement the publication process of the Journal;

(4) To handle complaints or disputes.

 

Article 7

These articles shall be implemented after being approved in a departmental meeting. Any revisions of these articles shall be approved through the same procedure.
